Melissa + Mima | Wedding Day | Caledon, ON
On August 11th, 2022, after being delayed by 742 days (thanks COVID), Melissa & Mima finally got to have their wedding! They opted for an intimate outdoor celebration with 50 of their most important people, at the beautiful Cambrium Farms in Caledon, Ontario. The day started with a First Look, witnessed by their immediate families, followed by portraits with their families and a private stroll through the property for their bridal portraits. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed into a lush courtyard outside of the main barn, where they got to sip handmade cocktails from the open bar and snack on gourmet appetizers in the late afternoon summer sunshine, while they waited for the ceremony to begin.
The ceremony took place against a treelined backdrop in a grassy clearing on the farm property, officiated by the most authentic, inclusive and vibrant officiant I have ever met, Marilyn. Melissa & Mima wrote and read their own personal vows to each other, and included many other personal elements into their ceremony, such as, their two dogs (“the ladies”) as their ring bearers, and celebrating the signing of their wedding certificate with glass of champagne with all of their guests.
The reception followed in the restored century barn, with a high ceiling, exposed wood beams and original barn board walls, lit by stringed lights, and table centrepieces beautifully designed and handmade by the brides. After we heard some beautiful speeches during dinner, Melissa, Mima and I snuck out to an open field for some sunset photos, and when they returned to the reception, the party commenced!
The day would not have been possible if not for Melissa & Mima’s incredible planning (and patience!), but also if not for the following vendors:
